Dr. Loomer comes to San Antonio from New York University College of Dentistry, where he is serving as chair of the Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry and director of the Center for Global Oral Health Sciences.
He is recognized for his work in community health and is the eighth faculty member in UT Health San Antonio history to attain this distinction. Dr. Ferrer is a practicing family physician in UT Health San Antonio’s Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine.
