Dr. Ashley Garcia-Everett, Department of Medicine-Nephrology, was interviewed for Great Day SA on KENS 5, about her son’s battle with polycystic kidney disease (PKD). She and her husband learned after their son, CJ, was born that both of them were carriers for the rare form of PKD their son contracted. Dr. Garcia-Everett donated a kidney to her baby and is raising awareness about PKD and the upcoming virtual Walk for PKD in San Antonio.
