Fiesta river parade float celebrates the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences

The UT Health San Antonio Fiesta River Parade float celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

UT Health San Antonio’s float in the Texas Cavaliers River Parade, April 4, celebrated the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences’ 50th anniversary.

The theme for this year’s river parade was Texas Alfresco, celebrating the Texas outdoor experience. The faculty, staff and students from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences wore their white lab coats with bright orange cowboy hats glowing with lights around the brim and proudly represented UT Health San Antonio’s “Texas Outdoor Art” float, which featured iconic art installations from around the city.

Riding on the barge were Dr. David Weiss, Rosemary Weiss, Dr. Jessica Nute, Dr. Keith Krolick, Dr. Michael Burton, Dr. Renee Yew, Dr. Geoffrey Clarke, Dr. Addanki Pratap Kumar, Dr. Rita Ghosh and others, accompanied with music from the Just 4 Fun band.
