The University of Texas System Board of Regents has approved $2.5 million to establish the Trauma Research and Combat Casualty Care Collaborative at UT Health San Antonio in partnership with University Health’s Level 1 Trauma Center at University Hospital and the U.S. Department of Defense. It will be the first and only one of its kind in the U.S., according to UT System.

The University’s School of Nursing received a Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing award for its demonstrated commitment to promoting a healthy and welcoming work environment and for its excellence in health care outcomes.

More than 15 UT Health San Antonio physicians were recognized as Women Leaders in Medicine by the Bexar County Medical Society for their excellence in patient care and dedication to the practice of medicine. 

Much-needed primary and specialty health care, as well as surgical services, for a growing Northwest Side drew an important step closer to completion with a beam-signing ceremony for the UT Health at Kyle Seale Parkway outpatient and surgery center.
