Volunteers needed for COVID-19 vaccine clinics

The state has designated UT Health San Antonio’s clinical practice a vaccine hub. Through this effort, we can vaccinate more of the sickest, most vulnerable population in our community.

Volunteers are needed to assist UT Health San Antonio patients, especially older patients, as they arrive on campus to receive the COVID-19 vaccine inside the School of Nursing’s Hurd Auditorium. Volunteers will help with crowd control, giving directions, pushing wheelchairs, assisting patients in and out of their vehicles, checking that they have confirmed appointments and have signed all consent forms and other duties.

Staff, faculty and students who are interested in volunteering can sign up through UT Health San Antonio’s community engagement platform, ENGAGED.

You will be asked to log in using your UT Health San Antonio credentials. Once logged in, scroll down to register for the day and time that best fits your schedule.

Volunteers are asked to wear comfortable shoes, park in Lot 8 and meet the shift coordinator under the tent located between the School of Nursing and UT Health San Antonio Police Department.

Volunteer shifts will be added as they become available, so continue to check the ENGAGED site.
