The UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry assembled for the 2019 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
Over 120 dental and dental hygiene students received their Doctor of Dental Surgery or Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degrees.
The annual Senior Convocation Ceremony provided an opportunity to present the Class of 2019 with over 73 awards as well as over $22,500 in scholarship and award money for their many achievements.
Rising third-year dental students, Kelli Jimerson and Bailey Bell are the co-presidents of this newly established student group, Special Care Dentistry.
This group would be of interest to dental students seeking education regarding the healthcare for patients with special needs.
Dean Loomer made a visit to the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic at Haven for Hope to tour the patient care facilities and meet with dental faculty, students, and the clinic’s leadership.
