The Institute for Integration of Medicine & Science is now accepting applications for nominations for its 2024 Community Engagement Hero Awards.  This program recognizes outstanding individuals who have worked as part of a community-academic research partnership (between a community group and a UT Health San Antonio or UTSA research team) for the improved health and well-being of South Texas communities. 

Award categories include:

Outstanding Student Award 

Outstanding Researcher Award

Outstanding Community Partner

Outstanding Community Health Improvement Project

Awards will be presented at the 2024 IIMS Community Engagement Symposium, Awardees will receive a plaque and a $500 travel award.
