How to Create and Present a Poster

The UT Health San Antonio Library will offer a free workshop on “Creating and Preparing for an Effective Poster Presentation” on Jan 8th at noon via Zoom. (register here!) All poster presenters are strongly encouraged to attend.

FREE Poster Printing for ACCEPTED ABSTRACTS – Submit posters from January 19 to DEADLINE, January 24, 2024.

For accepted abstracts, your poster will be printed at no cost if you follow the Poster Guidelines (see Resources section) and submit by the January 24 deadline. Any posters submitted after the deadline will incur a priority charge that will be paid by the student, on a separate service request. The CMHE will not pay for printing from an outside printer.
You will create a PowerPoint file using the Poster Template (see Resources section). The file must be emailed to CSL@uthscsa.edu and tovarj3@uthscsa.edu no later than January 24. Due to the high number of posters to be printed, early submissions are requested.

Student Poster Presentation Session

Attendance at the February 3, 2024 CSL Conference is required for all poster presenters. The poster session is scheduled for 1:00-2:30pm. Note that poster set-up will be the afternoon before; details will be provided.

Awards / Recognition

Three poster abstracts will be selected for the Blue Ribbon Award by an interprofessional poster selection committee recognizing exceptional student work. These abstract winners will be noted in the conference program and provided Blue Ribbons for display during the conference. The week of the conference, hidden judges will view the posters and select the Best Interprofessional CSL Project to receive the Annual LINC Interprofessional Education (IPE) Award, accompanied by a cash prize. The judges will also rank the posters during the online preview period based on the merit of the CSL project and the quality of the poster. The judges will then select the Best of Show Poster during the live Poster Session based on the quality of the presentation. The winner will receive a cash prize.
