Established in 2022, the Trauma Research and Combat Casualty Care Collaborative (TRC4) is a partnership between The University of Texas System and the Department of Defense, serving as a unique collaboration seeking to catalyze transformative research efforts into trauma care. Applications for funding are currently being accepted from institutions within The University of Texas System under four (4) separate funding mechanisms, as follows:

Early Career Mentored Research Award: up to $200,000 total costs

Proof of Concept Research Award: up to $100,000 total costs

Preclinical and Translational Research Award: up to $500,000 total costs

Clinical Research Award: up to $500,000 total costs
