The Clinical Trials Scholars Program (CTSP) equips junior faculty eager to conduct industry-sponsored clinical trials with the necessary resources to identify research opportunities, foster sponsor relationships, gain institutional approval, and manage their studies effectively. Program participants will learn directly from experienced clinical trialists and research administrators, setting the foundation for success in their initial roles as local site investigators.
Exciting Updates for This Year’s CTSP Program!
This year, selected CTSP scholars can participate in specialized mentor training for non-research clinicians and clinical trialists. This new component aligns with the K12 Mentored Research Career Development Program's requirement for K12 Scholars to include a clinician mentor on their team. These mentors are essential, providing insights into healthcare systems and helping scholars translate research into clinical practice. Participants in the mentor training will receive a stipend and must commit to serving as a clinical mentor to a future K12 Scholar.
This year's CTSP will feature an in-person, half-day session, followed by an optional mentorship training in the second half of the day. Participants who receive the mentorship training and agree to serve as a clinical mentor for a K12 scholar will receive a $1,500 stipend. Seats for the mentorship component are limited. If you do not wish to participate in the mentorship training, you may choose to register for the CTSP program alone. Registration deadline is November 1st.
