Several School of Dentistry faculty and students represented UT Health San Antonio by presenting their work during the conference. 

Dr. Gregory Spackman was also inducted into the UT System’s Kenneth I. Shine, M.D., Academy of Health Science Education.

The American Academy of Oral Medicine announced that the board of the National Commission on the Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards voted in favor of recognizing Oral Medicine as a specialty.

The advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was evaluated by the Commission on Dental Accreditation this month and received high praise for a positive assessment.
