This program enables partnerships to develop activities that lead to the translation of research for public health benefit.

Translational Technology Resource (TTR) Award

The Institute for the Integration of Medicine & Science (IIMS) is now accepting applications for Translational Technology Resource (TTR) awards to support genetic analyses at the single-cell level. The proposed research must have relevance to clinical and/or translational science.

 

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Proposals received on or before the 15th of a given month will be reviewed by the 15th of the following month.

The University of Texas School of Public Health San Antonio is now accepting applications for its inaugural class in Fall 2024. Now accredited by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the school looks forward to enrolling its first cohort of Master of Public Health (MPH) students and serving the San Antonio and South Texas communities.

 

The final deadline to apply is June 1, 2024.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines public health as the science of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities. This work is achieved by promoting healthy lifestyles; researching disease and injury prevention; and detecting, preventing, and responding to infectious diseases.

 

Our purpose is to introduce high school students (11th and 12th graders) to public health and the vast array of professions. There are a multitude of public health professions such as community health workers, epidemiologists, first responders, nutritionists, public policymakers, occupational health and safety professionals, sanitarians, and many more.

Hear from Network Project Leads on various Network topics and have an opportunity to ask questions and receive information. These standing sessions will be held once a month and will generally be 60 minutes in length. The forums will be informal with introductory slides leading into an open dialogue session. The purpose of this open forum is to discuss incorporating JHU training experts in with Dr. Bansal’s planned discussion about what clinical trial training resources the individual Hubs have currently and what are the immediate need for individual hubs.
