IIMS 15th Annual Frontiers of Translational Science Research Day

This is a call for abstracts for the 15th Annual Frontiers of Translational Science Research Day scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2025. We would like to showcase posters that illustrate either completed or ongoing research projects in Translational Science. We welcome submissions from UTHSCSA and UTSA, as well as all IIMS/CTSA partnering organizations. $500 Domestic Travel/Educational Awards will be given to the winners.

Translational Technology Resource (TTR) Award
Now Accepting Applications!

The Institute for Integration of Medicine & Science (IIMS) is now accepting applications for Translational Technology Resource (TTR) awards to support genetic analyses at the single-cell level and spatial level. The proposed research must have relevance to clinical and/or translational science.

 

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Proposals received on or before the 15th of a given month will be reviewed by the 15th of the following month.

2025 Community Engagement Small Project Grants

The Institute for Integration of Medicine & Science (IIMS) and the UTSA College for Health, Community, and Policy (UTSA HCaP) are happy to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2025 Community Engagement Small Project Grants.  One-year grants of up to $5,000 are available for community-academic partnerships collaborating on the development or expansion of projects focused on the translation of science from basic discovery to clinical practice, to public health benefit. 

 

Funds may be used to develop or expand collaborative projects in one or more of these areas:

1. Community-engaged research or assessment

2. Education or training

3. Dissemination of research results, program features, or policy implications

The annual event is hosted by the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at UT Health SA and will be held at the Mays Family Center at The Witte Museum on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9am – 3pm. Bring the entire family and learn about science in an innovative way!

 

Viva Science SA is an awesome showcase of science that is free to the San Antonio community. The event features a distinguished speaker, interactive science booths, main stage demonstrations, a science fair with posters by local scientists of all ages, science-themed artwork, music, a variety of food trucks and much more!
